WSOP Main Event Final Table Kicks Off in Six Days
We are just six days away until the final table of the World Series of Poker Main Event. This is how the final nine breaks down, including seat assignments:
Seat 1 Dennis Phillips $26,295,000
Seat 2 Craig Marquis 10,210,000
Seat 3 Ylon Schwartz 12,525,000
Seat 4 Scott Montgomery 19,690,000
Seat 5 Darus Suharto 12,520,000
Seat 6 David “Chino” Rheem 10,230,000
Seat 7 Ivan Demidov 24,400,000
Seat 8 Kelly Kim 2,620,000
Seat 9 Peter Eastgate 18,375,000
Dennis Phillips heads to the final table with a slight advantage over Ivan Demidov. Demidov may have the momentum advantage after finishing 3rd in the World Series of Poker Main Event in October.
The average stack going into the final table is 15.2 Million. The blinds will start at 120,000/240,000 with a 30,000 ante. As such, Kelly Kim has less than four orbits at the table with his short stack of just over 2.6 Million. He will need to be active early and stay lucky to make a comeback in the event.
The only pro at the table is David “Chino” Rheem. He will start the day as the third shortest stack. However, Rheem is the only person besides Demidov with WSOP final table experience, so this should be of some benefit.
It will be interesting to see how deep Demidov can go in this event. After his third place finish in London, you know he has to be chomping at the bit to take down this event. Rheem is looking to take one down for the pros and Dennis Phillips is hoping that he can build on his chip lead and fulfill a dream.
The final table will kick off Sunday November 9th at 10 a.m. Pacific Time. Play will continue until heads-up play is reached. The two players will then return on Monday the 10th at 10 p.m. to play for the braclet.
