WSOP Circuit Schedule for 2012-2013 Released
The 2012-2013 WSOP Circuit schedule was released earlier this week by WSOP officials. This year’s schedule will see the tour expanded to 20 stops and this year’s events will range in buy-ins from $365 to $1675. In addition, Southern Comfort 100 Proof will be this year’s presenting sponsor for the WSOP Circuit.
Among the tour stops on the schedule will be the first official WSOP Circuit stop outside of the United States as the River Rock Casino in Vancouver, British Columbia will kick off in October. Other new stops on the tour this year will include the Horseshoe Cleveland in March, Foxwoods Resort Casino, as well as a stop in Harrah’s Cherokee in North Carolina in April. Cherokee recently received approval to offer live dealers at their casino opening the way for the WSOP Circuit to host an event there.
Again, the WSOP Circuit National Championship will be held at the end of the tour’s season and will consist of the top 100 players from the Circuit as well as the top 100 poker players based on tournament performance in 2011 and 2012 as well as open WSOP event winners. This year’s WSOP National Championship will be held from May 21st through 23rd at Harrah’s New Orleans and the winner will receive a WSOP Championship bracelet.
