Last week, we reported that TJ Cloutier’s 2005 WSOP $5,000 NL bracelet was on sale on Ebay. Speculation swirled the internet initially as to whether the bracelet was indeed Cloutier’s. Online blogger compncards (aka James Guill) contacted Plano Pawn Shop and discovered that the bracelet had indeed been pawned off by Mr. Cloutier and he had defaulted on a loan against the bracelet.

The bracelet auction ended over the weekend and the final price for the auction was $4,006. The details as to the bracelet’s new owner were not disclosed as per the policies of Ebay. This auction has stirred a lot of debate across the internet. Some think that a pro should buy it and return it to Cloutier, while others think that Cloutier would probably just pawn it off again.

TJ Cloutier has won six WSOP bracelets, including the 2005 NL bracelet. He has also finished runner-up twice in the WSOP Main Event. As to why he pawned the bracelets, speculation abounds, but Cloutier has been known to blow a lot of money playing craps.

If details present themselves as to the owner of the bracelet, we will update you.
