The Main Event for the fourth event in this year’s World Series of Poker Circuit kicked off today at Harvey’s Lake Tahoe in Stateline, NV. The event is expected to draw a decent crowd along with several top name pro’s to be in attendance. Jeff Madsen, Allen Kessler, Johnny Chan, and Chris “Jesus” Ferguson are among those expected to attend.

The World Series of Poker Circuit is a set of tournaments setup to simulate the excitement of the World Series of Poker, but on a smaller scale. Tournaments range in buy-ins from $330 all the way up to the $5,500 Main Event. The winner of most of the events receives the top prize and a gold championship ring. The winner of the Main Event also gets an entry into the 2009 World Series of Poker Main Event in Las Vegas.
