Ted Forrest
Ted Forrest was born in 1964 in New York and is one of the more well known professional poker players in the United States. Forrest began playing poker professionally in 1986. He gained most of his skill while working as a dealer where he would read the players in the game. He has stated that while dealing he would study the players to see how they played and this helped him to improve.

And improve he did! Forrest has won five World Series of Poker bracelets and amazingly won his first three in 1993. The events which he took these bracelets in were the $1500 Seven Card Razz, the $1500 Omaha 8 or Better and the $5000 Seven Card Stud.
Forrest came back to win his two other WSOP bracelets in 2004 in the $1500 Seven Card Stud and the $1500 No Limit Hold’em. His five bracelets put him in 14th place in the all time WSOP bracelet winners. He has cashed twenty four times at the World Series of Poker and has winnings of over one and a half million dollars just at the WSOP alone. His total tournament winnings are estimated at nearly six million dollars.
Forrest’s winnings have helped him to back many of the major tournament players. He is considered by some to be the business man of poker. This is because he has backed more players than anybody else has. He has made his name in many of the major poker tournaments and is considered by many to be a master strategist when it comes to playing his hands. He has played many hands that others would have shied away from, and his success at the tables has proved that there is definitely method in his madness.
