Tom Schneider
Tom Schneider has to be one of the most well respected players in high stakes poker, having won 2 WSOP bracelets and established an excellent reputation in the game over a number of highly successful years. It has to be said that the bracelets certainly do suit this expert player, who is a serious presence around any final table he gets to.
Tom won both of his bracelets at the 2007 World Series of Poker. He won one in the $2.5K Pot Limit Omaha/Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo and the other at the final table for $1K Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo. 2007 was a great year for Tom. From having none, he went to being the proud owner of two bracelets, cementing his reputation as one of the best players around and reaping financial rewards to the tune of $1.5Million to boot.
Schneider is the author of a popular book entitled “Oops! I won too much money: Winning Wisdom from the Boardroom to the Poker Table” which has brought its own significant financial rewards. He’s certainly an authority on winning money, having accrued in excess of $1.5Million from cards.
Tom was born in 1959 in Indianapolis in Indiana. Before turning to full-time poker he was an accountant and former financial officer at several Arizona companies. Since making poker his full time career he’s made significant contributions to the game – and not just around the gaming table. He’s the co-host of a popular podcast entitled ‘Beyond The Table’ as well as featuring as head blogger on the site Pokerati, to which he’s also a contributing columnist.
Tom’s mostly a live tournament player, but he does dabble in online gaming. He finds the online game as challenging, if not more so than live competition. With the skills Tom possesses, it will be no surprise if he goes on to earn many more bracelets. He’s certainly got no plans to leave the game.
