Scott Fischman
A young player with a huge talent on the professional poker circuit, Scott Fischman doesn’t lack experience beyond his years or natural talent in any aspect of his game. He has a natural inclination for cards, and was drawn to poker at an early age. He’s invested much of his time and effort into mastering poker, and his hard work has certainly paid dividends as shown by his substantial winnings and two precious WSOP bracelets.
Scott has been a keen player since he was very young. His love for the game led his first job as a professional dealer at the age of 21. Though he was born in Langhorne, Pennsylvania he was raised in South Jersey. He was 12 when he found himself living in the gambling capital of the world. His dealing career began at the Mirage, where he soon found himself on the other side of the table. Since then he’s risen quickly to the dizzy heights of the game. His is in many ways a story from a boy’s adventure story for the 21st century, in that modern media’s brought poker to the attention of the world and provided incredible opportunities to become rich and famous almost overnight.
Fischman had a doubly great year in 2004 when he won not one but two WSOP bracelets. The first came in the final event of the $2K H.O.R.S.E. tournament, when he won a respectable $100,200. It was a lot for such a young man but there was even more to follow. That same year he triumphed in the £1.5K No Limit Hold’Em competition, to the tune of an awesome $300K. Thus he cemented his reputation for being a star player at the tender age of 23. He was the youngest player to accomplish this particular feat.
Fischman is active in the world of online poker and plays under the moniker of ‘emptyseat88’, and he’s had considerable success in the world of virtual gaming. His earnings from tournaments alone exceed $2.6Million and WSOP tournaments account for more than $1Million of that. Rolling Stone Magazine has called him ‘The Face Of Generation Poker’.
