Rodney Erin Pardey is a professional gambler and a true American poker player. He’s the father of Rodney E. Parker, another pro poker player and musician. Both poker and music run in the family of Rodney H. Pardey. He’s successfully combined music with Seven Card Stud to reach dizzy heights within the game. He was born in 1945 in Vincennes, Indiana, and he currently resides in Seattle, Washington.

Throughout a very long career around the big poker tables, Rodney H. Pardey has notched up some significant wins and achievements. He’s probably most proud of his two WSOP bracelets, awards that truly mark a player as having achieved greatness in the modern game. He won his first in 1991 when he achieved glory in the $2.5K Seven Card Stud event to take home $133,600. His second bracelet win came back in 1994, when he emerged victorious in the same, Seven Card Stud $2.5K event.

Rodney H. Pardey began playing poker when he was in his early 20’s and living in and around the Seattle/Tacoma area of Washington State. While working for the U.S. Coast Guard he found the time to participate in numerous games and started to make money regularly through winning in low-limit card games. During these formative years he came up against a host of colourful characters around the table, even including a local judge. Another player, realising his friend’s potential, advised Pardey to head for Las Vegas to try his hand, and that’s just what he did.

Pardey has risen steadily through the different ranks of the game since he began playing. He’s faced some of the toughest players in the game, and often he’s emerged as champion. He was once ranked as the best Seven Card Stud player in the world, but it’s equally true to say that Texas Hold’Em has provided him with a very comfortable living. Pardey still plays regularly.
