John Lukas
An American card player with two World Series Of Poker bracelets to his name, John Lucas needs no introduction to those who avidly follow the professional game. He’s played in many tournaments and he’s won in many cash games. To date his tournament winnings exceed $300K, with $272,450 of those earnings coming from the World Series Of Poker.
Lucas won his first prestigious WSOP bracelet in 1983, when he defeated other skilled players to win the $1K Limit Razz event and take home $43K. It wasn’t long before he won another prized bracelet, as in 1985 he did it again. This time he emerged victorious in the $1K Limit Seven Card Stud Hi-Low event, to the tune of a cool $74.5K. Not a lot else is commonly known of this obviously talented player, but it’s safe to say that since we may well see more of him.
