He has many achievements under his belt from a long career around the top tables, but he remains a humble character who’s quick to assert that there’s more to life than poker. Chris Bjorin was born in Sweden, but he’s called London his home for many years now. He’s known for being quiet and unassuming, despite possessing a healthy reputation for excellence and a wealth of experience from decades in the game. Due to his reticence, relatively little is known about his formative years in the game. He started to feature on live tournament results in the 1980’s, and has established himself as a versatile player with skills in many different types of poker.
Bjorin’s long career in poker has been extremely rewarding for him financially. He’s won close to $5Million, achieved 194 cashes and no less than 13 first placed finishes. Among his most illustrious achievements are his two WSOP bracelets, which testify to the fact that he’s played and won at the very highest level of the game. He won his first valued piece of jewelry back in 1997, when he triumphed in the $1.5K Pot Limit Omaha event, to go home with a respectable $169,200. His second bracelet win came in 2000 when he defeated a formidable field of players to emerge triumphant in the $3K No Limit Hold’Em event, to the tune of $334,110.
Chris Bjorin is truly an old hand at poker. He’s an experienced player with plenty of experience, patience and skill. He claims to know his limits, but often far exceeds his own expectations. He continues to play regularly in the best tradition of the game. London’s his home but he’s not averse to traveling for big competitions.
