Raymer’s first cash at the World Series of Poker came in the $1500 Omaha Hi/Lo Split 8 or Better event in 2001. However Raymer won his one and only WSOP bracelet so far in the $10000 No Limit Hold’em World Championship Main Event in 2004. He actually finished third in the $40000 No Limit Hold’em event at the World Series of Poker event in 2009 from a field of 201 players.
He stated in an interview in 2006 that he was thinking of running as a Libertarian Party candidate for the Vice Presidency of the United States, although he never actually did.
