Joe Cada is the 2009 WSOP Main Event Champion
A new feature here at theWSOPblog.com is Poker TV. With poker TV, we hope to bring you some of the best news, videos, and even poker tutorials from around the web. To kick off this feature, we present you the final few hands of the 2009 WSOP Main Event.
Heads-up play made its way down to Joe Cada and Darvin Moon. Cada was looking to set the all-time record for youngest to win a bracelet at 21 years of age. Darvin Moon was looking to reinvent the Moneymaker story. Moon is a Maryland logger that won his way via a live satellite and does not even play poker online. In fact, Moon does not even own an email account. His trip to the 2009 WSOP Main Event was his first time on an airplane. Also, Moon refused any type of sponsorship as he plans to go quietly into the sunset after his Main Event performance.
Cada started the day with a nearly 3 to 1 chip lead, but lost that lead on the very first hand after a queens vs nines confrontation won by Moon. Moon clawed and fought his way to his own nearly 3 to 1 chip lead before the action in the video presented to you. While we could tell you what happened, this time, we will let you watch what happened:
