Epic Poker League Parent Co Owes $8 Million in Liabilities

Federated Sports and Gaming, the company responsible for the Epic Poker League, filed for bankruptcy on February 28th of this year. Around the time of the filing, it was reported that the company owed around $5 Million to creditors. However, now it appears that the company owes approximately $7.89 Million in liabilities.

Epic Poker League Parent Company Files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Protection

In a move that surprised few, Federated Sports and Gaming announced on Wednesday that they had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Epic Poker League Could Be Sold Within 60 Days

Last year, the Epic Poker League began play as the “PGA of professional poker.”  The series of events, each capped with $20,000 rake-free Main Event, have been heralded by many and disdained by others.  Now, it appears that the fledgling poker league may be in sale talks.

Epic Poker League Reaches Deal to Publish Global Poker Index in USA TODAY

The Epic Poker League announced on Wednesday that they have partnered with USA Today to publish the Global Poker Index standing weekly on USA TODAY and USAToday.com.  The EPL is the professional league started by WSOP bracelet winner Annie Duke and former WSOP Commissioner Jeffrey Pollack.

Epic Poker League Teams With Former WSOP TV Production Company

Jeffrey Pollack Leaves PBR to Focus on Federated Sports and Gaming Poker League

Jeffrey Pollack left the WSOP back in 2009 in order to take a job with the Professional Bull Riders Association. Back in January of this year, he became the Chairman of Federated Sports and Gaming and was to take an advisory position in helping Annie Duke to create a professional poker league. »

Annie Duke and Former WSOP Commissioner Jeffrey Pollack Form New Pro Poker League

Recently, Annie Duke ended her long time poker sponsorship deal with UB in order to pursue other “non-poker” related business ventures.  It does not appear that the “non-poker” portion of this claim stuck as Duke was recently announced as the new commission of a new professional poker league that will begin play later this year.

Jeffrey Pollack Steps Down as WSOP Commissioner

Jeffrey Pollack is out as the Commissioner of the WSOP. Pollack has officially resigned from his position and November 13th was his last day on the job. Pollack joined Harrah’s in 2005 as a VP of Marketing. In 2006 he was promoted to President and Commissioner of the WSOP.

World Series of Poker Europe Event #1 Recap – JP Kelly and Richard Kellet Lead Day 1a
