The WSOP announced on Thursday the 2011 inductees into the Poker Hall of Fame. Barry Greenstein and Linda Johnson emerged from a list of ten finalists to become the newest members of the Poker Hall of Fame.

November Nine Matt Giannetti decided that November was too long to wait to win a major poker title. Instead, he took down the World Poker Tour event in Malta and took home $273,200 in prize money.

Since 2008, the final table of the WSOP Main Event has been played in November at the Rio. Known as the November Nine, the event was supposed to reignite interest in the poker community for the WSOP Main Event final table.
Hard to believe all that money from last year only drew $459 in interest.

Badih Bounahra, 49, lives in San Pedro Town, Belize. Bounahra runs a wholesale grocery business. Bounahra considers himself a social player, even if he ends up winning the WSOP Main Event. He will start the November 9 with 19,700,000 in chips, which puts him in 6th position.

Martin Staszko, 35, is from Trinec, Czech Republic. Staszko started playing poker 4 years ago. Prior to playing poker full time, Staszko worked in an automotive shop and was responsible for vehicle painting and production. After seeing the WPT on Television, Staszko started playing poker. Anton Makiievskyi, 21, is from the Ukraine. He is a full time student and this is his first WSOP. Makiievskyi has been playing for several years online.
