Some Hotels to Avoid In Vegas
If you have read anything about Las Vegas, then you have probably seen some of the best and brightest of the hotels and casinos featured. However, many people cannot afford an extended stay at the Pallazo, Venetian, etc. Those people have to find more inexpensive ways to enjoy Vegas. However, what happens to some people is that they put themselves in precarious situations by not doing their research on hotels. Today I am going to give you some tips about where not to go in Vegas.
First, stay away from most of the Knights Inns, Super 8, etc. Most are not located in the best of areas, and from most of the reviews on most are sub par at best. I’m sure that there are many out there that say that they are fine, but the general consensus states to stay away.
Second, if it is not located at the Fremont Street Experience, do not stay in a hotel on Fremont Street. Most are ancient and run down and the area in general is relatively seedy. It is not as bad as crack alley per se, but I wouldn’t want to risk it.
The Wild Wild West Casino has a reputation that has seemed to be well earned. For most, the casino is a glorified truck stop and the hotel shows it. I don’t think I have found a truly good review about this place. If you go down the road a bit, you can stay at the Orleans, which is a much nicer establishment.
Be very careful with extended stay hotels. I do not have a lot of room to talk about them because I have spent my time at some, but as a whole, most seem to have a bad review. I stayed at Crestwood Suites on Tropicana a couple of years back and everything went fine, but there were times I could see where there might be problems for some people. If you are staying an extended amount of time in Vegas, research the possibilities of a short term rental or even staying at a casino such as the 4 Queens.
When staying in Vegas you can find places to stay that are relatively inexpensive without taking a lot of risk. It will take a little research, but you can find the deals if you look hard enough.
