Women in Poker Hall of Fame Now Accepting Nominations for 2012 Class

The Women in Poker Hall of Fame is now accepting nominations for their 2012 class. Since 2008, the WIPHOF has honored the women of professional poker who have made lasting contributions to the game either through their play or their involvement in the poker industry.

2012 WSOP to Feature Redesigned Bracelets

Those looking forward to competing for a bracelet at the 2012 WSOP will have something new to look forward to. WSOP officials announced on Thursday that bracelets will undergo a redesign and that celebrity jewelry designer Jason Arasheben aka “Jason of Beverly Hills” will design the bracelets.

ESPN Announces 2012 WSOP Television Schedule

Rules Changes and More Announced During 2012 WSOP Conference Call

1972 WSOP Main Event Champ Amarillo Slim Passes Away at 83

The poker world was saddened to learn that poker legend and 1972 WSOP Main Event Champion Thomas “Amarillo Slim” Preston passed away this past Sunday at the age of 83 after a fight with colon cancer.
Slim was poker's first superstar.

WSOP Asia-Pacific to Kick Off in April 2013

The World Series of Poker expanded into Europe in 2007 and the success of the WSOP Europe has prompted the company to expand yet again. Earlier this week, the WSOP announced the World Series of Poker Asia-Pacific, the first WSOP event to be played in Australia.
