Joe Cada Signs With PokerStars

Schaffel and Begleiter Finish Deep at Legends of Poker

The Legends of Poker Main Event on the WPT just concluded and two members of the November Nine were among those at the final two tables. Steve Begleiter finished 9th in the event and Kevin Schaffel started the final table as the chip leader and ultimately finished 2nd to winner Prahlad Friedman.

World Poker Tour Sold to PartyGaming

The World Poker Tour has been sold yet again. Last week, there was an announcement made that a second bid for the company had been made, but the details of the bid were not revealed. Monday, it was announced that the World Poker Tour has been purchased by PartyGaming for $12.3 Million.

Winning the Honest Way

Recently, I was in Atlantic City and someone jokingly asked how many nines were in the deck when I revealed quad nines in a stud hand. A couple of minutes later I conveyed a story involving a stud game in Tunica, MS where there were more than four aces in a deck.

ESPN to Broadcast WSOP Through 2018

ESPN has renewed its contract with Harrah’s and the World Series of Poker to broadcast the WSOP on the station through 2018. Originally, the WSOP’s contract was to expire at the end of 2010, but the new deal will extend the contract by eight years.

Antoine Saout Signs With Everest Poker

Antoine Saout signed a deal earlier in the week to join Team Everest Poker. Saout is a member of the November Nine, the final nine players of the Main Event of the World Series of Poker. Saout won his seat into the 2009 WSOP Main Event via a $50 satellite on Everest Poker.
